It turns out that the Pennsylvania state Elections Department itself tallied up the write-ins for two particular presidential candidates. West Virginia totals for the declared write-in presidential candidates who were on the ballot in at least one state are: Virgil Goode 119, Roseanne Barr 31, Rocky Anderson 12, Merlin Miller 11, Tom Hoefling 5, Richard Duncan 1.

The Florida Secretary of State has many regulations that require qualified minor parties to conduct certain activities. Here is a link to that regulation, 1S-2.050, which is titled, “Cancellation of Political Party Filings.”

Recently I went to the California American Independent Party website because I was curious about the name change of America’s Independent Party to America’s Party, and I wanted to see if I could find any statement about it there. On February 27, the Florida Secretary of State said that America’s Party is now ballot-qualified. It had been formed in the summer of 2008 by Alan Keyes, after he lost the race for the Constitution Party presidential nomination. In 2008 it was called America’s Independent Party.
