What will probably be the final lawsuit on whether President Obama meets the Constitutional Qualifications to be President has a conference date in the U.S. Supreme Court. The lead plaintiff is Ed Noonan, who won the American Independent Party non-binding presidential primary in California last year. Two other plaintiffs are individuals who ran in major party presidential primaries last year. The case is Noonan v Bowen, 12A606. Read more »

Outgoing Nevada District 36 Assemblyman Ed Goedhart, R-Pahrump, is endorsing Independent American Party candidate Janine Hansen for state Senate, while the person currently holding that job, Sen. Mike McGinness, R-Fallon, endorses Republican Assemblyman Pete Goicoechea, R-Eureka.
In a press release, Goedhart said though he’s a Republican, he’s endorsing Hansen. Goedhart said Goicoechea, the Republican Assembly minority leader, voted in 2011 to reimpose $1 billion in tax hikes Read more »
On September 21, the California Secretary of State released a new voter registration tally. See the full report here. The tally is as of September 7.
Compared to the last tally (the May 21, 2012 tally), every qualified party has a slightly smaller share of the registration now than it did in May, except for the Libertarian Party.
