With the end-of-year FEC filings, the Johnson-Gray campaign has suddenly disclosed huge new debts, more than 1 million dollars of them. It is extremely difficult to understand how the debts were incurred so late after the election.

Gary Johnson Campaign Receives More Primary Season Matching Funds from FEC

On January 9, 2013, the Gary Johnson presidential campaign received another $121,755.77 in primary season matching funds from the Federal Election Commission. This is in addition to the December 19, 2012 payment of $202,026, and to amounts received earlier in 2012.

Therefore, the total amount of primary season matching funds that was received for the entire Johnson campaign now totals $632,016.75. Read more »

Vermont Presidential Write-ins Now Known

The write-in vote for President in Vermont in November 2012 was: Ron Paul 717, Jill Stein 594, Virgil Goode 13, Roseanne Barr 9. Vermont Presidential Write-ins to be Tallied on Friday, January 11

On Friday, January 11, a team of three volunteers organized by the Green Party has an appointment with the Vermont Elections Division, to go through the returns from each town and tally up the presidential write-ins. The results will be placed on state stationery so they will be considered “official” and will be included in national vote tallies of the presidential vote.

Two Populous Texas Counties Counted All the Presidential Write-ins, not Just the Write-ins for Declared Candidates

Politex has a story about the presidential write-ins in November in Tarrant and Travis Counties, the only two truly populous Texas counties that count all the presidential write-ins, not just the write-ins for the declared presidential candidates. New York State Posts Final 2012 Election Returns Tally; Presidential Vote Increases by 400,332 Votes
