Libertarian congressional candidate protesting exclusion from Cleveland debates

As Election Day nears, David Macko in the 14th U.S. Congressional District in northeast Ohio is challenging the City Club of Cleveland’s decision to exclude from its debates candidates like him who do not represent the two main political parties.

Macko, who was invited during his 2008 congressional run to debate at the City Club, is protesting outside of the organization’s building on Euclid Avenue in Cleveland today as the debate between Democrat Dale Virgil Blanchard and Republican David Joyce is conducted. In a press release this weekend, Macko encouraged supporters to join him in the demonstration.
