Arizona holds a special election on June 12 the fill the vacant U.S. House seat, 8th district. Each of the qualified parties has its own primary on April 17. No one is running from the Libertarian Party, or from Americans Elect, even though those parties are ballot-qualified in Arizona. Foster’s Daily Democrat, a daily newspaper in Dover, New Hampshire, has this fairly lengthy story about the Americans Elect petition for party status in New Hampshire. The story also mentions the Libertarian Party petition for party status. Neither group is finished collecting yet, but each group has more signatures than the required 13,698.

Bailey, a member of Congress from Pennsylvania between 1978 and 1982, and Pennsylvania’s Auditor between 1984 and 1988, will run for Pennsylvania Attorney General this year as an independent, according to this story. Stein said she was “overjoyed to hear this news” that she had won 69.4% of the vote in a five-way online and mail primary.
