Update: Richard Winger of Ballot Access News just pointed out to me that unfortunately the filing deadline has passed. The election is in October. Oops. I guess the headline should have read, “Missed Opportunity for Third Party & Independent Candidates in Louisiana”.
There is a great opportunity in Louisiana right now for third party and Independent candidates to enter into State Senate and State House races, where there has been only one candidate who has filed to run.
