Today, June 6, 2011 is the 67th anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Normandy on the coast of France that signaled the Allied Invasion of Europe in World War II.

World War II was a worldwide effort to stop tyranny around the world.

Many years later another worldwide effort to stop another kind of tyranny would arise.

Austin- Last month Texans made history with the House passage of HB 1937, Rep. David Simpson’s anti-TSA groping bill. After a unanimous vote in the Senate committee, HB 1937 was poised to pass the Senate. On the eve of a vote by the Texas Senate the US Department of Justice issued a threat to state “leadership” warning of a domestic “no-fly zone” over Texas if warrantless enhanced pat-downs are banned.
